If you are an aspiring dentist or hygienist and wish to be considered for the Donald J. Meis Dental Scholarship, we invite you to complete an online application.
To be eligible for the Donald J. Meis Dental Scholarship, you must meet the following initial requirements:
Applications are open to undergraduate students who are United States citizens or permanent residents with a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Applicants must be pursuing a dentistry education at an accredited, non-profit public or private college or university in the United States.
Applicants are required by state law to certify that they are eligible to receive a scholarship as a U.S. citizen or a citizen of another country who is lawfully present in the U.S. Prior to the disbursement of scholarship funds, the Meis Foundation will verify the recipient's citizenship status or lawful presence in the U.S.
Please Note: Funds will be disbursed directly from the Meis Foundation to the appropriate education institution or financial aid office.
All scholarship application information will be reviewed by the Meis Foundation's scholarship selection committee. Selections will be made using criteria including financial need, academic achievement, and commitment to community.
The scholarship amount awarded and distributed will vary based on availability of funds.
The Meis Foundation awards multiple dental scholarships annually, from $1000 - $5000. The scholarship amount awarded to recipients is dependent upon funds available, education cost, financial need, and academic achievement.
